Origin

A response to category-wide reformulation.

The functional-food and dietary-supplement market has undergone substantial ingredient reformulation over the past three decades. Cost pressure, evolving consumer preferences, and the introduction of high-intensity non-nutritive sweeteners drove widespread substitution of conventional ingredients with lower-cost alternatives, frequently marketed under health-positioning claims.

MEMBUZZ was established to occupy a specific, deliberately narrow position in this market: functional foods and supplements made without artificial sweeteners, manufactured at an owned domestic facility, and sold without health-outcome claims.

Operations

Vertically integrated, end to end.

MEMBUZZ owns each step of the value chain that affects the customer's experience of the product. This concentration reduces vendor-introduced variation, accelerates iteration on formulations, and removes the layered margins typical of multi-tier supply.

Leadership

Co-led by two principals.

MEMBUZZ is run by two co-founders with equal stakes in the company. Responsibilities split along functional lines — strategy, brand, and technology on one side; manufacturing, formulation, and supply on the other. There is no corporate headquarters; the company operates from its Los Angeles manufacturing facility. The principals happen to live in different states.

Commitments

Four operating constraints we hold ourselves to.

These are standing operational constraints, not marketing language. They inform formulation, sourcing, and product-page disclosure across every SKU.

No artificial sweeteners.

Stevia, monk fruit, sucralose, aspartame, acesulfame-K, erythritol, and allulose are excluded from every formulation. Where sweetness is present, it comes from a labeled real ingredient — most often the natural-flavor blend or a small amount of cane sugar.

Full ingredient transparency.

Every component and every per-serving dose is disclosed on the label and the product detail page. No proprietary blends. No 'rounded for marketing' amounts.

No health-outcome claims.

MEMBUZZ products are dietary supplements and functional foods. They are not drugs and have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. We make no representations as to focus, sleep, recovery, or other physiological outcomes.

Domestic manufacturing.

All MEMBUZZ products are produced at our Los Angeles facility. There is no overseas manufacturing, no offshore co-packing, and no private-label arrangement.

Regulatory posture

MEMBUZZ products are dietary supplements and functional foods under U.S. regulatory definitions. They have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Consumers with medical conditions, pregnant or nursing individuals, and those taking prescription medication should consult a qualified healthcare provider before using any supplement.
